Alternative Stalwart WebUI fork – v1.0.9 (End)

Hi everyone,

Quick follow-up on this thread: v1.0.9 is out — and for me this is the final release of the fork.

Release: Release v1.0.9 · LinkPhoenix/webui · GitHub

First, thank you again to the Stalwart creator and team — Stalwart remains easy to deploy, robust, and very secure, and this fork only exists thanks to that work.

I’m especially glad that some (and possibly all) of the ideas from v1.0.8 have already been picked up in the official WebUI. That was the goal of keeping one commit per feature: easy cherry-picks when something is useful upstream.

What’s new in v1.0.9

  • Log Entries: Level / Event filters + rate-limited Refresh (webui#8)
  • Accounts: Role and Usage / Quota columns (webui#12)
  • Mailbox hierarchy (webui#16) : Better fix in 1.0.7
  • Active account kept across reload + proper remount on account switch (webui#17)
  • Extra themes (Rose / Amber / Teal), backend/provider icons, Active WebUI indicator
  • Appearance moved into the header user menu
  • Custom logo no longer flashes the default mark while loading : I combined my ideas with those that were included in the official version 1.0.7
  • iOS “Add to Home Screen” icon + short name Stalwart, without a service worker

Fork default: Ocean theme + Square corners (existing saved preferences are left alone).

Future of this fork

I don’t plan further feature work on this fork. If I touch it again at all, it would only be to align with official WebUI changes, not to keep diverging. The official project is moving fast, and that’s the right long-term home for the UI.

Feedback still welcome if anyone tries v1.0.9.

Quick Fix

[1.1.0] - 2026-07-30

Fixed

  • Mobile admin shell and lists: wide tables no longer expand/clip the page. The shared ScrollArea constrains content width, tables scroll horizontally inside their card, and list Create / pagination actions stay visible in the mobile viewport.
  • Form and detail layouts wrap more cleanly on narrow screens (action bars, label/value rows).
  • Date/time picker in dark mode: replaced the native time input (invisible clock icon + always-light popup) with themed hour/minute selects and a visible Clock icon; set color-scheme on light/dark themes so remaining native date controls follow the UI.
  • Empty date/time fields open prefilled with the current date and time so the calendar and hour/minute selects start on a useful default.

Changed

  • Negative account disk-usage values (stale Stalwart quota counters) are shown in red with an info tooltip that explains how to recalculate usage via Tasks (Perform account maintenance operations → Recalculate storage quota usage, or store-wide Reset all user quotas).
