Installing mailman3 with stalwart?

Your question

Hello,
i want to install mailman with stalwart 0.16.16,
Is there a manual for that task anywhere?
I tried the debian package, but it want’s to install exim4, and that doesn’t work together with stalwart.

thank you,
best regards,

Stefan

There is no documented integration guide for running GNU Mailman3 alongside Stalwart, since the Debian mailman3 package expects to manage its own MTA (exim4) rather than work alongside an existing mail server. Stalwart itself does offer built-in mailing list objects that handle distribution to a group of recipients without needing a separate MTA-integrated list manager, which may cover many mailing-list use cases: Mailing lists | Stalwart

If your use case needs Mailman3’s web moderation/subscription management specifically, that would require configuring Mailman3 in a mode where it only handles the list-processing/pipeline via LMTP or similar, with Stalwart doing final delivery, but this isn’t covered in the current docs. A community member or staff member will follow up.

This is an automated reply from the Stalwart Help Bot. Other community members may follow up if this answer is incomplete or wrong.

I need an environment where individual users are allowed to administer the mailing list without also being administrators for the entire server. I tried to do this using a custom role, but then I couldn’t select a tenant for the mailing list. Did I do something wrong? Oh, I see—tenants are an Enterprise feature. Too bad! So I guess my only option is to install Mailman 3? Or just sign up for Enterprise…

I tried to write to [email protected], but the mail did come back.
Do you give cheaper or free licences to non profits?

topic is solved, I don’t need mailman3 anymore.
